Structural Engineering Analysis: Load Factors, Metallurgy & Safety Verification
High-density warehouse racking is fundamentally an engineered skeletal structure subject to complex dynamic, static, and torsional load distributions. When transitioning from conventional wide-aisle selective racking to ultra-high-density storage architectures (such as Drive-In, Push-Back, Pallet Flow, or Automated 4-Way Radio Shuttle Channels), structural engineers must account for asymmetric bay loading, lateral deflection thresholds, and secondary bending moments induced by material handling equipment (MHE).
Critical Design Formula (EN 15512:2020 Deflection Criterion): For upright and beam flexure, maximum permissible beam deflection under full working load γ must satisfy δ ≤ L / 200, where L represents the clear span distance between upright columns. Under European EN 15620 classes 300 & 400, stricter thresholds (δ ≤ L / 300) are enforced for Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) rail-guided shuttle environments.
Guangzhou Heda Shelves Co., Ltd. executes all cold roll-forming utilizing certified prime carbon steel coils (Q235B with minimum Yield Strength fy ≥ 235 N/mm² and Q355B with fy ≥ 355 N/mm²). Upright profiles are roll-formed through 16 to 22 continuous progressive cold-bending passes into our specialized closed or omega-cross-sections. This multi-flange roll configuration dramatically enhances the radius of gyration, boosting resistance against torsional buckling and global flexural instability under severe seismic excitation.

Corrosion Protection & Surface Chemistry
Industrial storage racks are routinely subjected to aggressive chemical environments, condensation in sub-zero refrigerated chambers, or mechanical micro-abrasions from continuous pallet entry. Our factory implements an automated 9-stage pre-treatment line encompassing high-pressure hot degreasing, ultrasonic alkaline wash, acid pickling, water rinse cascades, and heavy zinc-iron phosphating. This establishes a micro-crystalline chemical conversion coating providing superior mechanical bonding for the electrostatically deposited thermosetting polyester powder (dry film thickness ≥ 65–85 μm). Surface finishes rigorously pass 500-hour neutral salt spray (NSS) testing per ASTM B117 without blistering, peeling, or undercut corrosion.
